The world's first chainsaw with electronically controlled injection is here. With the MS 500i, Stihl heralds a new era in chainsaw technology. Revolutionary Stihl Injection technology stands for rapid acceleration, extremely high performance and consistently minimised weight. The chain accelerates from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in an incredible 0.25 seconds. At 1.24 kg/kW, Stihl's MS 500i power-to-weight ratio is unique on the market. The innovative power unit with pressure and temperature sensors always meters the fuel optimally, whether cold or warm starting and regardless of altitude or ambient temperature. The absence of a starting position and the easily accessible purger ensure the easiest starting under all operating conditions. The perfectly balanced Stihl MS 500i delivers rapid work in professional heavy timber harvesting and processing. Thanks to its lightweight design and dynamic pivoting behaviour, this manoeuvrable machine will impress not only when felling and cutting to length, but also when pruning. HD2 filters, a loss-proof nut on the sprocket cover, an adjustable oil pump, tool-free tank caps and lateral chain tensioning round off the top features.
