Get rid of maggots from plum trees with Neudorff's new bio-tech trap. No insecticide used, so no damage done to beneficial insects like bees. Maggots infesting plums are the larvae of the Plum Fruit Moth (Cydia Funebrana). The males flock to the strong female scent emerging from the Neudomon trap and are held fast in the glue. As a result many fewer females are fertilised and so much fewer larvae. Put the traps into the trees at head height around mid-May, bearing in mind wind direction. One trap is sufficient for 3 neighbouring trees in an orchard. Change the scent capsule and sticky floor after 6 weeks. If you are catching many more than 5 male moths a week, an insecticide spray could be needed. Set consists of: the trap plus 2 sticky floor bases, 2 scent capsules and hanging wire. Naturally we provide refills for the following years.
