The Rigging Rope Wrench is based on the well-known Rope Wrench. Turned upside down and with an additional pulley it is perfect for lowering small loads. As an alternative to the ground man controlling load lowering, the rope wrench also allows the climber to do so.
The Rope Wrench increases friction on the rope, which makes the load easier to control. By pulling the rope, the Wrench is released and the rope can be withdrawn without additional loss of friction. The design is for 13 mm rigging ropes and in combination with a light sling, the Rigging Rope Wrench is an ideal choice for light rigging work. It locks with a bayonet lock.
The Rigging Rope Wrench is available in two versions. One with a plain bearing for loads up to 70 kg., the other with a one-sided locking bearing for loads between 20 and 120 kg. Due to the lock, the one-sided locking version provides more friction when lowering which allows heavier loads to be lowered. The pulley can be moved freely when raised. Ideal for lowering small loads.
