Brand quality rucksacks for smaller and bigger loads

A rucksack is indispensible if you are keen on longer hikes or cycling tours. Rucksacks will hold all your necessities when your are hunting, hiking, or when you are otherwise on the move. Browse our online shop and fiind the rucksack that meets your requirements best.

Characteristics of good rucksacks

There are many types of rucksacks and just as many areas of use. However, there are a few basic features which your rucksack should have:

  • Pre-formed, adjustable and padded shoulder straps

This feature ensures a body-hugging fit and prevent the rucksack from becoming a burden. The straps will not cut into your body.

  • Lid pocket and outer pockets

Outer pockets provide quick access to the more frequently needed eqipment: drinking bottle, gloves and hat.

  • Waist and chest straps

If you are wearing your rucksack for longer periods of time, waist and chest straps can be a real reliefi. When you are mountaineering, hill climbing or cyclings these straps will ensure a comfortable fit and will distribute the load evenll.

  • Attachment options

Walking sticks, clamp-ons, clothing - outer loops on the rucksack serve to attach diverse objects.

  • Rain-tightness

Some rucksacks are made of water-repellent material. Most high-quality rucksacks will have ad hoc rain protection in an outer pockets. Pay attention to the rucksacks bottom material which should be both sturdy and water-resistant. It should not be a problem to put a rucksack on wet ground.

  • The right rucksack for every situation

A rucksack for daily use, also known as Daypack is a rucksack classic. For hiking, for a day in the city or a trip by car- your daypack will hold all you need in the course of a day. Daypacks dispose of between 10 and  30 liters space and will allow good freedom of movement thanks to their special design.

If you are planning trekking tours for a couple of days or longer your rucksack should have ample storage space. You should opt for a rucksuck holding 50 liters and more. Pay attention to the overall weight. Too heavy baggage is a killer.

Rucksacks by Fjällräven or Tatonka with an integrated seating option provide additional comfort: When hunting or resting these rucksacks turn into a comfortable stools on moist or hard ground.

Alternatives for lighter loads are waistor bags. These bags can be worn underneath your jacket and are ideal for stowing away mobile phones, your purse or other small items. If your items are too big for a jacket pocket but too small for a rucksack a belt bag is the right answer. For sports, hunting or fishing, this is your bag for important necessities.

    Roam the woods noiselessly

Rucksacks for hunting are made of high-quality loden or linen which makes them almos noise-free. A number of outer pockets will keep your binoculars or range meters ready at hand. All latches and fasteners such as leather straps and loops are designed to be low-noisn. Hunters will have an eye on non slip shoulder straps, attachments for a rifle and anti-sweat inserts.
